With less then 2 weeks to go, Oreo is doing very well.  She is sleeping alot, and resting.  She has not been playing but that is to be expected.  She is still eating quite a bit, more than she ever does.  But the funny thing is she does not want to be outside.   She goes out to go potty and runs back in.  I am going to start sleeping with Oreo beside her whelping box probably on Sunday.   Gail (the breeder we go Oreo from) thinks there will be 8-10 large puppies.   We are super excited to have the puppies come.

Yesterday we put up Oreo’s Whelping Box, you can see a picture of it.  We placed her whelping box where her crate was.  It took her some time to go in and out of it.  But Dave and I went shopping for 2 and half hours and when we came home she was laying in it and did not chew on it or destroy anything.  We are very proud of her. 

Oreo is gaining allot of weight, and her nipples are getting huge.  She is starting to sleep allot and is spending allot of time on her own.  But all in all she is doing excellent.  Only 3 more weeks to go until we have puppies and be are very excited!!!

I just wanted to give everyone and update from when Oreo and Tiny Tied.  Oreo is doing very well, she is getting a little bit of food aggression but nothing real serious.  She is gaining weight in the chest nothing in the abdomen yet… but we still have time for that.  Tiny and Oreo are still playing together soon we will have to put a stop to that so the puppies don’t get hurt.  I will post again soon.

This post is a little last but last night before we went to bed we got the 2nd tie from Oreo and Tiny.  This tie lasted for about 20 minutes.  So we should have puppies born around 6/7/2010 and should be ready to go to their new homes 8/2/2010.  We are very excited about this second tie and how long it lasted, even though it was a little chilly outside last night.

Oreo and Tiny tied for 10 min. today. For the 1st time Oreo has ever done this she did very well.  She stood there the whole time with no complaining.  In about 63 days we should have puppies.  We will be doing an ultrasound around day 30 to confirm.
